Cladser Co-6
Base metal: Cobalt
Technology: Laser Cladding, PTA, EHLA
Industry: Shipbuilding, Marine, Agricultural, General Engineering
Cladser cobalt-based alloys are comprised of intricate carbides within an alloy matrix, offering robust resistance against wear, galling, and corrosion, even under high temperatures. Their outstanding durability primarily stems from the unique properties of hard carbide phases dispersed within a CoCr alloy matrix. Notably, Cladser 6 shares its alloy type with Stellite® 6 (registered trademark of Kennametal Stellite).
Among these alloys, Cladser Co-6 stands out as the most commonly utilized for wear resistance. It boasts versatile performance, serving as the industry benchmark for general wear-resistant applications. With exceptional resilience against various forms of mechanical and chemical wear across a broad temperature spectrum, Cladser Co-6 maintains substantial hardness levels up to 500°C (930°F). Additionally, it demonstrates notable resistance to impact and cavitation erosion.
Cladser Co- 6 finds ideal application in a range of hardfacing processes and is compatible with carbide tooling for turning. Typical uses encompass valve seats and gates, pump shafts and bearings, erosion shields, and rolling couples. It is frequently employed in self-mating configurations due to its reliability and endurance.
